Week 5 – All Days Covered and Baby Saved!
It’s exciting to report that from now through the end of the campaign on March 24, we have different church groups committed to covering each day of prayer (7am to 7pm) at Planned Parenthood. Now is the ideal time for you to sign up (www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati) to pray for an hour or more to add to the number of our participants. That will make our presence more noticeable both to those entering Planned Parenthood and those passing by.

A few weeks ago we had a save! A young couple, both 18, were walking into PP for a first appointment. As often happens, the young mom and dad didn’t see eye to eye about the baby. The abortion vulnerable woman was thinking that it would make things better with her boyfriend if she didn’t have the baby, but she never wanted to abort the child. Between a sidewalk advocate present to talk to her and support from a seasoned advocate on the phone, she was convinced not to go into PP and she had an ultrasound at a pregnancy center the next day. Pray for her continued strength as often, unfortunately, until the child is born, pressure to abort from those closest to the women doesn’t let up.

Save the Date – Closing Prayer Hour of Thanksgiving – March 24, Palm Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Our prayer leader and speaker will be Deacon Dave Shaffer of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Anderson Township. Further details on our Website, www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati under LOCAL EVENTS.

CONTINUED PRAYER PRESENCE AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD – Babies do not stop being aborted nor are mothers safe or fathers free from conflicted feelings about their unborn children when a 40 Days for Life campaign ends. With that in mind, we’re asking you to consider continuing your prayer at Planned Parenthood on a regular basis (weekly? monthly?). We will begin by asking for commitments to prayer on the sidewalk on Wednesdays (beginning on April 3) for any hour between 9am to 5pm, which are Planned Parenthood’s business hours. The ideal is to continue adding participants until every hour that the facility is open will have at least two people present in prayer on the sidewalk. Wednesdays were chosen first because pro-lifers trained by the organization Sidewalk Advocates for Life (SAFL) have already committed to being present during PP’s business hours on Wednesdays to reach out to anyone planning on entering Planned Parenthood to offer pro-life help instead. You would be the peaceful prayer partners there to support and strengthen their advocacy. To commit to a prayer hour or to have your questions answered, contact Mary Clark, 513-365-2606 / cincy40days@fuse.net; Brigid Duffy, 513-379-0821 / bswartz@fuse.net, or Joan Rios, 513-312-7125 / pinolero@aol.com.
