Week 4 – Ongoing Presence

Last week I mentioned a new group of advocates that have started to join with the long time sidewalk advocates to reach out to clients (and workers) entering Planned Parenthood or anyone passing by.

Cincinnati Right to Life has been sponsoring trainings by Sidewalk Advocates for Life who teach people how to approach those coming to abortion facilities or referral centers by encouraging pregnant women to choose life and empowering them to turn away from abortion with life-affirming resources. As stated on SAFL’s website, “Our goal is to reach out in love to all present on the sidewalk to bring about a conversion of heart from a culture of death to a culture of life, thereby ending abortion.”

Starting with all Wednesdays, the plan on Auburn Avenue is to have advocates present in front of the abortion facility during all of that weekday’s business hours and to eventually have a presence there during all weekly open hours.

Please pray for these loving and joyous people who have already begun to touch lives and pray about whether God is calling you to find out if you should become a part of this most important work.

NOTE:  Midpoint Prayer Vigil Hour – March 8 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Join us this evening for our group hour of prayer which serves to mark the midpoint of our spring/Lenten campaign. If you have been taking part in the first half of the campaign, we hope this hour will encourage you to continue your public prayer witness and finish the second half of the campaign strong! If you have not been to the sidewalk yet, we hope this hour will serve as an impetus for you to sign up for prayer hours during the remaining sixteen days of the campaign. For this event only there is no sign up necessary. It is one of the few opportunities during the campaign when we can gather as one to pray for all of our pro-life intentions.

Closing Prayer Hour of Thanksgiving – March 24, Palm Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Details TBA

Known churches and group affiliations of our participants – Please let me know if your affiliation is not listed, whether you come to pray as an individual or with a group.
