The Abortion Pill Is Unsafe and Ineffective – Women Deserve the Truth

The abortion industry continues to push the narrative that the abortion pill—specifically mifepristone—is a safe, easy solution. But the data tells a far different story. More than 10% of women who take mifepristone suffer severe adverse events, a rate that is 22 times higher than what the drug’s label claims. These are not just numbers—they represent real women experiencing hemorrhaging, infections, incomplete abortions, and emergency surgeries.

Despite this alarming reality, the FDA has loosened safety protocols, allowing mail-order abortions and removing the requirement for in-person medical oversight. Women are being left to manage dangerous complications alone, often without knowing the full risks.

That’s why Cincinnati Right to Life has joined more than 100 leaders urging Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Marty Makary to examine the full scope of the data and advocate for restoring critical safeguards. Women’s health and safety should never take a backseat to political pressure or corporate profits.

This is not about politics—it’s about truth and protecting lives. It’s time to stop ignoring the growing body of evidence and start demanding accountability for the harm caused by the abortion pill.
