“Even if you support abortion, that’s not an argument in favor of the deregulated distribution of these deadly pills. Making it easier to sell them is not only an abuser’s dream scenario, but it also outsources all the problems of injury, infertility, and even death to women and their families, who are likely not able to fully process their risk,” said Hawkins. “As Students for Life’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement poll out this week illustrates – more than 9 in 10 Millennial & Gen Z registered voters support protecting women and the environment from the chaos of Chemical Abortion Pills.”
WASHINGTON D.C. (1-22-25): Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins praised pro-life champion Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) who is introducing the Ending Chemical Abortion Act in the U.S. House of Representatives this week. This bill would make it illegal to sell or distribute Chemical Abortion Pills in America. The strong piece of pro-life legislation was introduced for the very first time in the 18th Congress and is now up for a second time in the 119th Congress. The SFLAction inspired bill will be scored for both votes and vision, meaning co-sponsorship will also count for this measure as well as votes.
Congressman Ogles said, “Chemical abortions not only end a human life but pose a serious risk to the lives of the mothers. The FDA has failed to protect women and preborn children for over 20 years. In 2021, it went even further and eliminated the in-person dispensing requirement. This decision has led to an overwhelming increase in chemical abortion-related ER visits, health complications, and even deaths. It’s a tragedy that the Biden Administration and the FDA put their radical pro-choice agenda ahead of the health and safety of women and girls across the country. Thankfully, it is a new day in America and I’m taking a stand against the irresponsibility of the Democrats to protect women and girls across the country. I’m taking a stand for life because, born or preborn, every single person is uniquely and wonderfully made. It’s not merely a political issue; it’s a moral duty to uphold the sanctity of life. I am committed to safeguarding the innocent and voiceless in our society.”
The pills are clearly deadly to preborn children and exceptionally harmful to women.
In fact, Students for Life of America & Students for Life Action have prioritized ending exposure to the killing metabolites in Chemical Abortion Pills, which have 4x the rate of injury and 10x the death rate of surgical abortions, which are also deadly. Also troubling, during the Clinton, Obama, and the former Biden Administrations, no FDA or EPA environmental assessments were completed to ensure that dumping human remains was not a hazard to all life. Today, we have proen that these life-ending metabolites are in our drinking water as hundreds of thousands of Chemical Abortions each year dump chemically tainted human remains and pregnancy tissue in our our. Wastewater systems.
