It’s time once again for Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati’s Annual Pro-Life Poster Contest, open to all students in Kindergarten through 8th grade from private, public, home schools, home, or catechetical programs.
More than 250 years ago, America’s Founding Fathers understood a timeless truth: the first and most fundamental right is the right to life. They recognized that without life, no other rights can exist. This foundational principle remains at the heart of our nation and calls each generation to protect and defend the most vulnerable among us.
From the very beginning of our nation, America’s foundational documents have affirmed the sanctity of life. The Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights all recognize life as a fundamental and God-given right. These cornerstone federal documents establish that the purpose of government is to protect life, liberty, and justice, making the defense of innocent human life not only a moral responsibility, but a foundational American principle.
In a culture that increasingly discards the unborn, the aging, the handicapped, the infirmed, and the “inconvenient”, we must reach the hearts of our youth proclaiming the value and worth of each unique human life from the moment of conception, made by the most loving Lord. Whether a person lives for a few minutes or for centuries, thriving or struggling, EVERY human person mirrors God.
There are three age categories for the the contest: K-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th. Cash prizes and prize ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be awarded in each age group. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
Each poster will be evaluated on its originality, use of medium, interpretation of theme, and presentation of a pro-life message. Selections of the top entries will be chosen. We kindly ask that no copyrighted material be used.
Entry forms and rules are attached and may be reproduced. Additional copies may be obtained from the Right to Life office (513/728-7870) or downloaded from CincinnatiRighttoLife.org.
Deadline for entries is Friday, February 27, 2026. Please note the size requirement of 9″ x 12″. If you have any questions, please call Karen Byrne at the Right to Life office, 513-728-7870. We look forward to seeing your creative and inspiring artwork!
