A Blessed Memorial Day

A Memorial Day message and prayer from
Cincinnati Right to Life and the
Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio

Today, we honor the memory of our fallen
soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen who selflessly
gave their lives while defending our great nation.
They knew what was worth fighting for and dying for –

God is the source and foundation of all
and our lives are not our own.
We are called to sacrifice them to a higher good
and that sacrifice is true and noble.

We, as citizens of our nation, are challenged by those who have fallen,
compelled to honor the courage and bravery of their sacrifice.
As we gather with our families and friends, let us pause
and contemplate these deeds and respect and remember
they made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our fragile freedoms.

Let us never take our freedoms for granted ~ freedom is not free.
