HOLY WEEK
Final Update of the Spring/Lenten Campaign
Prayer Hour of Thanksgiving
We held out closing “Prayer Hour of Thanksgiving” on Palm Sunday with a procession from Holy Name Church to Planned Parenthood while praying the Way of the Cross for the Victims of Abortion. Thanks to Deacon Dave Shaffer who lead the prayers and gave his remarks. He noted that as we heard in the reading of the Passion of Christ that morning in St. Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus was crucified at Golgotha, which in Aramaic means “Place of the Skull” because the hill resembles a skull with hollow eye sockets. A long-standing Christian tradition claims the skull of Adam was buried at the base of the hill. Jesus’ blood ran down through the cracks in the stone, thus signifying Christ’s victory over death where it first began.
40 Days for Life 365
Between the two yearly 40 day/24 hour prayer campaigns, we are joining with about 60 other cities who are taking part in 40 Days for Life 365. The goal is to eventually have prayer at Planned Parenthood during all of their office hours. We are beginning by asking for help to cover 8am to 5pm (last hour 4-5pm) on Wednesdays with April 8th being the first day.
You can sign up on our website,

Finally, our entire 40 Days for Life core team is very grateful to you for sacrificing your time and convenience through COLD, snow, rain, wind and some beautiful days to take part in covering the 960 hours of our Spring/Lenten campaign.
We wish you a Blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter Season!
