Weekly Update – Week Three

Pray That This Conversation At Planned Parenthood Leads To A Change Of Heart

In her own words, here is the interaction between a faithful parish pro-life leader covering her vigil hour and a passerby on the second day of this campaign:

“I want to share with you an interaction I had with a young woman today at Planned Parenthood. It was clear that God arranged this interaction, or quite possibly Our Blessed Mother.

As I was praying a young woman began angrily yelling things from across the street. With this, I began praying a series of Hail Mary’s for her. She left for a moment, and then returned and approached me. She asked me questions about my beliefs about life in the womb and when abortion is “Okay”. We talked about her perceptions of prolife laws, calling them evil. She believes these prolife laws have led to the deaths of “hundreds of thousands” of pregnant women. Through our entire conversation she remained respectful. She listened to me, but seemed quite immersed in the culture of abortion. I had a strong sense that she is seeking THE truth, yet has a profound fear that she will find it and not know what to do.

The reason I wanted to share this is because I know this interaction was not a coincidence. I know she was sent to me to intercede for her and to request the intercession of our beautiful prolife prayer warriors. I don’t know her name, but for my prayers I gave her the name Mary. I think this was because I felt our Blessed Mother’s presence during our conversation.”

Our vigil participant asked me to request prayers for “Mary” in one of my 40 Days for Life updates. Please do add “Mary” and all the other “Marys” to your prayers at the vigil and beyond. Your peaceful, public prayer witness will bear much fruit. – God bless.

SAVE THE DATES: Friday, March 13, 7pm – Group prayer hour at Planned Parenthood to mark the midpoint of this campaign. No sign up necessary for this hour. It is one of the few times when we can meet as a group to pray during the campaign.

Tuesday, March 24, 6:30pm, – We have the privilege of hosting three members of the national 40 Days for Life headquarters team who are visiting locations in Ohio and beyond. Heather Gardner, 40 Days for Life 365 coordinator, Dr. Haywood Robinson, former abortionist and Director of Medical Affairs and Education and Kristi Hofferber, Campaign Stratigest. Tell everyone you know and join us for this rare opportunity to hear from leaders of 40 Days for Life right here in our city!

So have you signed up to cover open vigil hours yet? Go to www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati and register if you have not already (you don’t have to re-register each campaign) and check the schedule to see where you are most needed. If you are new to public prayer, sign up when you see a number “1” on an hour when you can come to pray so you know that you will not be on the sidewalk alone.

If you need help in signing up, download “ Volunteer Website Tutorial” from the RESOURCES list on the right of our webpage, or contact me. – We need all of you.

Known churches and group affiliations of our participants – Please let me know if your affiliation is not listed (even if you are coming as an individual and not with a church/group).
