Stop Funding Abortion Providers
GOVERNOR DEWINE:
IT’S TIME TO LEAD. ACT NOW!

Earlier this summer, in a bold move to uphold the sanctity of life, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt issued an executive order directing all state agencies to cease public funding for any individual or organization affiliated with abortion providers. This decisive action follows the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, which affirmed that states have the authority to determine which providers may participate in their Medicaid programs—including the right to exclude those connected to abortion
It’s time for Ohio to follow suit.
Encouraged by Governor Stitt’s bold stand in Oklahoma to defend life and cut off taxpayer funding of Big Abortion, Cincinnati Right to Life urged Governor DeWine—through a letter that was hand couriered to his office—citing the June 2025 Medina decision and sharing executive orders from South Carolina and Oklahoma—requesting he take similar action in Ohio.
The Supreme Court has made it clear: states have the power to decide.
Ohio should immediately take steps to:
- Review and revise Medicaid provider standards to align with pro-life values.
- Terminate contracts with entities that perform, refer for, or are affiliated with abortion services.
- Prohibit all state funding—grants, contracts, or otherwise—from flowing to abortion-affiliated organizations.
Cincinnati has joined with Dayton, and other right to life groups across the state in circulating petitions urging Governor DeWine to be as bold as South Carolina and Oklahoma and act on our behalf and immediately stop the use of taxpayer for abortion providers.
