Weekly Update – Week Two
First Full Week of Coverage, Open Hours, Hallow App & Midpoint
We are off to a good start with all our vigil prayer hours through today being spoken for by at least one person (more are always a blessing).
One of the days that routinely gets parish coverage is Saturday, but tomorrow is the exception. October 4, as of yesterday when this update was prepared, still had six open prayer vigil hours during the day. Please go to www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati and check the calendar to see if we are still in need of coverage. With the weather as beautiful as it will be tomorrow, this is an ideal time to come to the sidewalk to show how precious you believe LIFE to be.
When we have blocks of open hours it’s a good opportunity for you to recruit new (and veteran) pro-life people from your churches to fill those hours (2 people per hour). It might be a great way to ease into parish participation if your parish has yet to commit to a full 12-hour day of coverage. As usual, contact me by phone, text or email with any questions or with sign up help.
In case you’re interested in an additional prayer aid while at Planned Parenthood or anytime, yesterday Shawn Carney reminded everyone who receives his daily updates that, “The 40 Days for Life community is available on the free section of the Hallow app…but up to 1,000 new subscribers can get 40% off their paid subscriptions by using promo code 40DaysforLife40: hallow.com/redeem.”
Upcoming Event: Friday, October 10, from 7 to 8pm at Planned Parenthood, we will hold a group prayer hour designated as the Midpoint Prayer Hour. We will be praying for the continued success of the campaign as we close in on Day 20. We thank God for allowing us to be His hands and feet in bringing about a Culture of Life in our area, state and country. What a privilege to be alive at this time to work towards the day when we return to protection for the most vulnerable among us through law as well as through our culture.
