Ohio 2023 Abortion Numbers

22,000 unborn child slaughters in Ohio

For immediate release: Today, October 1, 2024 the Ohio Department of Health released the 2023 abortions statistics. Tragically, in Ohio in 2023, 22,000 abortions were performed on women who chose or were forced into this violent procedure. Abortions in Ohio for 2023 saw an increase of 3,512 abortions from the 18,488 abortions in 2022.

Tragically, the genocide of black babies in Ohio continues with more than half of 2023 Ohio abortions executing black or minority babies, when less than 13% of Ohio women are black. Ohio is once again participating in fulfilling Margaret Sanger’s vision to exterminate the black population.

There were 1,958 abortions performed on Hamilton County residents. In the combined counties of Adams, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren Counties, making up most of Southwest Ohio, there were 2,891 abortions.

In August of 2023 Indiana became surgical abortion free. The states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia saw an end of surgical abortion in the summer and fall of 2022, leaving Ohio the closest state for abortion travel. Out-of-state abortions in Ohio more than doubled in 2023.

There were 3,611 abortions performed in Hamilton County. Planned Parenthood is the only surgical abortion facility in Hamilton County so it is safe to assume the majority, if not all of dismemberment and decapitation abortions took place on Auburn Avenue.

“How tragic that Ohio is slaughtering unborn children at such a rapid pace when there are so many abortion alternatives for mothers in our state, including over 120 pregnancy centers. Women deserve better than being sold the lie of abortion.

The reality for Southwest Ohio is we have almost 3,000 fewer children, students, and sons or daughters due to women falling victim to the abortion lie. This is a severe loss of life that is felt not just today, but impacts generations.

The 2023 Ohio abortion numbers only begin to represent 2024 abortion tourism in Ohio. Cincinnati Right to Life’s sidewalk advocates are counting each car entering Planned Parenthood on Auburn Avenue in Clifton. Most days there are over 100 cars throughout the day and sometimes over 125 have been counted entering the facility of death. The blood and guts flow freely in Clifton. We pray for mercy and we pray for each mother, father, and baby.” shared Laura Strietmann, Executive Director of Cincinnati Right to Life.

Cincinnati Right to Life will continue to read and understand the 2023 statistics and report more as we decipher some of the more detailed statistics.

We continue to work on building a culture of life one prayer, one person, and one politician at a time. We are in this battle until Ohio becomes abortion-free.
