Hamilton County Judge Blocks Ohio Law Requiring Humane Treatment of Preborn Ohio Baby Bodies Dismembered in Violent Abortions
Due to a court ruling this week by Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison Hatheway, the bodies of the slaughtered preborn children will continue to be removed from the Planned Parenthood in Cincinnati as medical waste rather than receive proper burial as Ohio law required.
The 2021 Statewide Law was permanently blocked by Judge Hatheway after she had previously paused the law temporarily in 2021 and in 2022.
Each week in Cincinnati, trained sidewalk advocates witness over 600 cars (yes, 600) entering the for-profit abortion business. According to the 2023 Ohio Abortion Report, there were over 2,000 children denied life in this facility. With the passage of Issue 1 in 2023, and abortion being enshrined in Ohio’s Constitution, the number of preborn babies killed in the Buckeye State is sky rocketing. With the Cincinnati Planned Parenthood being the most southern Ohio abortion business, the Queen City is experiencing an enormous increase in bloodshed. A massive horror story is unfolding before our eyes.
“The tragedy of the abortion enshrinement in Ohio continues. As the life-defenders in Ohio warned, the abortion industry will not rest until every law protecting and dignifying the lives of the preborn are removed. As these laws are toppled, not only is there more bloodshed, but there is more danger for mothers, and more mothers and fathers are left with the dark and harmful aftermath of abortion,” shared Laura Strietmann, Executive Director of Cincinnati Right to Life.
Cincinnati Right to Life is tirelessly working each and every day–on the sidewalk, reaching and turning away moms–in the Statehouse, meeting with lawmakers and advocating for some protecton for life in our state–in the Senate, communicating the reality of the Ohio tragedy to our two new Senators, while also communicating with other DC lawmakers in regards to the urgent need for the defunding of Planned Parenthood.
Federally, we thank Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) and eleven colleagues for introducing the Dignity for Aborted Children Act. The bill would require abortionists to dispose of the remains of unborn children with the same dignity and respect as any other human being who dies.
“A few years ago, the remains of over 2,200 aborted babies were discovered in an abortionist’s home,” said Senator Ricketts. “It’s horrifying that human remains would be treated like common medical waste. My bill will ensure that the remains of aborted children are given the dignity and respect they deserve.”
Ricketts’ bill is co-sponsored by Senators Jim Banks (R-IN), Steve Daines (R-MT), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Jim Justice (R-WV), James Lankford (R-OK), Jim Risch (R-ID), Mike Rounds (R-SD), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Tim Sheehy (R-MT), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Roger Wicker (R-MS).
Contact Senator John Husted and Senator Bernie Moreno, asking them to represent Ohioans and sign on to this important bill.
