I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating - pro-lifers are hardy! In the last few days or more the weather has been brutal. Not only have the temperatures been in the 20’s and below, the wind (which I’m convinced gusts stronger in front of planned parenthood than anywhere in the area) can cut right through the warmest coats.

Nevertheless, when I’ve commiserated with participants who are filling some of those bone chilling hours, they invariably shrug it off and say it’s all the more reason to be there. They understand that we stand in public witness to Christ’s love and mercy and in reparation for the sin of abortion.

As I’ve reported before, we have been blessed to have all our vigil hours committed to by at least one person, but that’s the minimum. As you know, because of my occasional asks, from time to time unanticipated things come up in our participants’ lives and they have to cancel their prayer commitments. So, if you haven’t committed to taking part in this campaign yet, we have two weeks left. Take a look at the online calendar at our website, www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati and, if at all possible, sign up to participate especially during hours that show a number “1,” indicating that only one person is scheduled to pray. Feel free to contact me for sign up help.

One more thought: On the headquarters website:  www.40daysforlife.com, there are seven seasons of podcasts on various themes which you should check out. Here is the link to one recent one you might want to listen to in which Abby Johnson speaks to Shawn Carney which includes a discussion of her new book “Fierce Mercy.” The podcase is “Encountering God’s Mercy with Abby Johnson” — PODCAST Season 7, Episode 10 - https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/gods-mercy-with-abby-johnson.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Closing Prayer Hour of Thanksgiving – Palm Sunday, April 10 at 2pm. See LOCAL EVENTS at our website for more details.
