On Monday night, December 13, 2021, Mason, Ohio City Council repealed the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance that had just been voted into law on October 25, 2021.
Sadly, former Mayor and now council member, Kathy Grossmann was the only member to vote to keep the ordinance created to protect unborn lives in the beautiful northern suburb of Greater Cincinnati. By a count of 6-1, the rest of the council voted to repeal this prolife measure. Mason, OH had become the 41st Sanctuary City for the Unborn in the USA, and the second in Ohio after Lebanon had enacted a similar ordinance in the spring of 2021 by a unanimous vote.
Cincinnati Right to Life is grateful for Kathy's brave stand for life! Please pray for her and the strong witness she presented. We of course must continue to pray for all who voted against the ordinance, may their hearts be moved to see the error in their ways. Being prolife means you stand for life 24/7/365 with your whole heart and mind. In places of worship and work. In public and in private. With your head and with your heart. We must win back the culture of life!
