40 Days for Life Kickoff Great Success!

(Cincinnati, OH) - The fall kickoff event in Cincinnati was a great success. The temperature was around 70 degrees and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was a relief after a very hot summer and I think everyone who came out was glad to see so many other pro-lifers after having been cooped up for so long. We had around 150 people spread out on both sides of the street!

The highlight of the hour was Sue Thayer’s story. She told of her journey from Planned Parenthood center manager to leading a 40 Days for Life campaign in front of the very facility at which she had worked for many years. Many people commented that they were inspired by Sue’s telling of her transformation from being on one side of the sidewalk to the other. We heard how she was introduced to the POC (products of conception) room and that she was expected to conduct ultrasounds with minimal training so that women could then receive abortion pills dispensed by a doctor in a remote location.

She emphasized that we shouldn’t look on abortion workers as the enemy, but as misled people thinking they are helping women. When those who heard Sue’s compelling talk in her gentle way come to the sidewalk to pray, I believe they will remember her words and be more open to showing God’s love and mercy to those entering Planned Parenthood.
