Dear Friend for LIFE,
Today marks 46 years since the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, and abortion became legal at all stages of pregnancy in all 50 states of our beloved country.
We mourn for over 60 million babies’ lives lost. We mourn for mothers who have suffered indescribable psychological, emotional, and physical pain. We mourn for fathers who have been forced to remain silent, respect a woman’s “right to choose”, and lose their fatherhood in the process. And, we mourn for the generations of people and families that will never exist. What damage and horror caused by the legalization of abortion!
Yet, there is hope!
Events took place and continue to do so all over the country to protest abortion and pray for families in crisis!
If you don’t think the pro-life movement is on the rise, think again!
- In the past decade, hundreds of pro-life laws have been passed around the country. In 2017 alone, states passed more than 50 pro-life bills.
- In the state of Ohio, although vetoed by the Governor, the Human Heartbeat Protection Act passed the legislature in December. Similar heartbeat bills have been introduced in Kentucky. South Carolina, and Florida. One in Iowa is currently being challenged in the court system.
- In 2017, Planned Parenthood closed 32 facilities in 16 states, while opening just five new communities.
- In 1995 Planned Parenthood had 938 facilities; now they have fewer than 600. Seven states, including our neighbors in Kentucky, currently have only one active abortion provider.
The ultimate goal is the eradication of abortion. We must overturn Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal in every state. We must establish in our law and in our culture that abortion is not only unconstitutional, but in direct contradiction to our God-given rights clearly stated by our nation’s founding fathers.
May God bless you for your support of LIFE. Never give up!
