Judge rules against abortion clinic in Southwest Ohio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, August 23, 2018: From our Friends at Dayton Right to Life
Yesterday, Judge Mary Wiseman ruled to affirm the adjudication order revoking and refusing to renew Women’s Med Center’s ambulatory surgical facility license. The ruling also stated that the stay issued in December 2016 will expire in 30 days unless an appeal is filed.
Judge Wiseman ruled that the “adjudication order is supported by substantial, reliable, and probative evidence and is in accordance with the law.”
“Though we are obviously pleased with Judge Wiseman’s decision, we know the fight continues,” says Margie Christie of Dayton Right to Life.
In additon, Dayton Right to LIfe, does not agree with the Court that this is an “abortion regulation case” as stated in the ruling. Women’s Med Center has NEVER been able to secure a written transfer agreement as required by Ohio law. This is a case of following the law which is designed to protect women and provide true healthcare.
“It would be too early and too simplistic to say this is a win quite yet. However, we are cautiously optimistic that the closure of the facility is as close as it has been for decades!” adds Paul Coudron Executive Director of Dayton Right to Life.
Dayton Right to Life would like to thank the pro-life community of Dayton for their decades of prayers and witness in regards to this facility. We look forward to the day when this “business” will close its doors for good and the healing can begin.
