Peaceful Prayer and Witness Begun
March 9, 2017 (Cincinnati, OH) – From Cincinnati campaign leader, Mary Clark…
We are one week into the spring campaign. We have had some challenging weather starting with the first day with thunderstorms and then some strong winds and cold on other days. Everyone is doing his best to deal with the circumstances.
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for hours of prayer and a special thanks those who have committed to weekly hours (or more) or who respond on a moments notice to fill still open hours. There are many Sunday hours (usually morning) and many weekdays still in need of vigil participants.
I hope you can make the extra sacrifice during this Lenten Season to commit to hours ahead of time so we can keep up the continuous 12-hour public witness throughout the campaign. I was told by one of our faithful participants that although she might not look forward to getting prepared to come to the sidewalk especially on the cold days, when her prayer hour is complete she is glad she came and feels she has done something positive for Life.
I’m so grateful that so many of you showed up for the Defund Planned Parenthood rally/prayer in February. If you were there, you realize that our first and sometimes only answer is prayer. I would like to invite all who came to that rally, but who have never taken part in our daily 40 Days for Life prayer, to ask the Lord to give them the motivation and courage to continue to come to the sidewalk during this 40 Days for Life campaign. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Join us this Friday, March 10th, at Planned Parenthood at 7pm for our group prayer vigil hour which will include the Stations of the Cross for Victims of Abortion.
