Planned Parenthood “Embarrassment” to Neighbors
March 4, 2016 (Cincinnati, OH) – From Cincinnati campaign leader, Mary Clark…
Sometimes when I’m at Planned Parenthood I wonder what the neighbors think of those who come to pray and witness there.
On Monday afternoon during the hour I was covering, a man from the neighborhood was walking by with his groceries. He stopped and asked if another vigil participant and I would pray with him. We took turns voicing our prayers and then “Charles” added his prayers. He said “this place” is an embarrassment to the neighborhood and prayed for it to close. Charles added that “we love life and life is good.” He told us that a child of his was aborted there over twenty-five years ago. He said that whenever he walks by he says a prayer that abortion end.
I don’t know how prevalent his view is in the surrounding community, but at least I know our peaceful presence is appreciated by some and from time to time they feel comfortable enough to tell us so.
Join us for group prayer on Fridays, 7-8 p.m. at Planned Parenthood, and our “Hour of Prayer and Thanksiving” on March 20th, 3 p.m.
