Congressional Vote This Friday
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, October 20, 2015 (Cincinnati, OH): The Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act is scheduled for a vote this Friday (October 23rd) in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Called by some a “pro-life reconciliation bill” (H.R. 3762), the bill contains several pro-life provisions.
H.R. 3762 is a special once-a-year measure called the “reconciliation bill.” Unlike almost every other kind of bill, the “reconciliation bill” cannot be filibustered in the U.S. Senate — so it can pass with only 51 votes, rather than 60 (of 100 senators).
But before the bill can be considered by the Senate, it first must pass the House on October 23.
The bill contains two major sections:
The bill would block, for one year, most federal payments to Planned Parenthood. At least 89% of federal funding of Planned Parenthood would be blocked by this bill — about $400 million.
The bill would repeal several major components of President Obama’s federal health law, including two major provisions that will lead to rationing lifesaving care: the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) and the “excess benefits tax.”

Tell your Representative to support H.R. 3762 and:
1) end all government support of the abortion industry with federal funds (our money!)–any funding granted abortionists is government partnering in abortion crimes against humanity
2) dissolve the Independent Payment Advisory Board–stop government-run board power to influence end of life treatment decisions and care
3) repeal 40% excess benefits tax on employer-paid health insurance premiums above a government-imposed limit (which does not allow for medical inflation)–stop unethical price controls on health insurance premiums
