Vote Expected This Week
For Immediate Release, May 12, 2015 (Columbus, OH): This Wednesday Congress is once again expected to introduce the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This bill was originally scheduled for a vote in January but was pulled for numerous reasons not fully understood by many across the nation. “When Congress passes this bill it should include all unborn children who can feel pain, including those conceived from rape and incest,” said Linda Theis, President of Ohio ProLife Action. This bill’s purpose is to protect the unborn who are capable of feeling the pain of abortion, now recognized by most scientists as being at 20 weeks gestation. “An unborn baby conceived by rape or incest feels the same pain and should not be excluded from the protection made available in this bill,” according to Theis. “In no other case in America do we punish an innocent unborn child because of a crime committed by his or her father. Heartfelt common sense tells us that all of these babies should be included in the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,” Theis concluded. Please contact your member of Congress to request that this bill be passed without exceptions.
