Full House Vote Today
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, March 24, 2015 (Cincinnati, OH): Ohio’s Heartbeat Bill (H.B. 69) was heard for the final round Tuesday, March 23rd, in the Community and Family Advancement Committee. The Committee approved the bill 11-4.
Five amendments were offered by Democrat legislators; three of which were ruled out of order by the chairman. The other two amendments were defeated on an 11-4 vote.
The bill now goes to the full House of Representatives for a floor vote scheduled for 1:30 a.m. today. The vote can be viewed online live or later on YouTube at www.ohiohouse.gov (click Session Video).
“We pray that Heartbeat Bill passes easily in the House without any other attempts at amendment,” said Paula Westwood, Executive Director, Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati. “We are grateful for the legislators who are standing firm to protect thousands of Ohio babies with beating hearts targeted for abortion.”
