6th Circuit to Review Four States’ Laws August 6th
July 29, 2014 (Cincinnati, OH): Information source, Citizens for Community Values
God’s design for marriage is under attack!
On August 6, 2014 at 1PM in Cincinnati, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit will hear arguments as to whether or not marriage laws defining marriage between one man and one woman are unconstitutional. Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares this truth: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” As marriage goes before the Federal 6th Circuit Court, we see this as a time and season to devote to prayer for marriage.
- August 3 (Sun) – We are asking all Bible-believing churches in all four states to set aside time for corporate prayer.
- August 4-6 (Mon-Wed) – Individual prayer time, leading up to and during the hearing at 1PM in Cincinnati.
- August 6 – If possible, we ask you to come to Cincinnati. PRAY for the judges, Martha Craig Daughtrey, Jeffrey S. Sutton, and Deborah L. Cook from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the Potter Stewart Courthouse, 100 East Fifth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals covers Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky, so Ohio’s Citizens for Community Values is partnering with The Family Foundation of Kentucky, Family Action Council of Tennessee, and the Michigan Family Forum for a time of prayer for marriage in all four states.
