The Update Is… No Update
December 4, 2013 – In response to inquiries…
Despite Cincinnati Right to Life’s repeated and continued communication with the Ohio Department of Health, no decision has been forthcoming regarding the status of the Sharonville Women’s Med Center and Cincinnati’s Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio abortion facilities.
Both abortion centers are ambulatory surgical facilities and both have been operating outside the law without the required transfer agreements and/or variances (exceptions) to remain in business.
Upon recommendation of an Ohio Department of Health hearing examiner, the Women’s Med Center’s license should be revoked.
Cincinnati Planned Parenthood is unable to obtain the required transfer agreement from any area hospital and is seeking a variance from the Ohio Department of Health.
Through public records request, Cincinnati Right to Life has obtained a copy of Cincinnati Planned Parenthood’s variance request, naming David Schwartz, Michael Draznick and Joseph Caligaris–doctors with privileges at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati—to cover patient emergencies.
Decisions regarding both abortion facilities are still pending from the Ohio Department of Health director, Dr. Theodore Wymyslo.
Though not in compliance with the law, the Women’s Med Center and Cincinnati Planned Parenthood remain in operation as usual.
Meanwhile these abortion businesses continue to prey on women, and unborn babies are dying.
