Decision to Revoke Pending
October 31, 2013 – In news sent last week, we reported that an Ohio state health examiner agreed with an order to revoke the license for Lebanon Road Surgery Center (the Women’s Med Center) in Sharonville after this abortion facility failed to obtain either a transfer agreement or a variance.*
The Women’s Med Center is owned by notorious late-term abortionist Martin Haskell, who is currently operating this abortion facility without a transfer agreement or a variance–against the law.
The Women’s Med Center has had ten days since receiving the hearing examiner’s report to submit any objections to the recommendation that its license be revoked.
Cincinnati Right to Life has learned that the Women’s Med Center’s attorney has now submitted objections to the Ohio Department of Health.
At this point. ODH Director Ted Wymyslo is reviewing the hearing examiner’s report and Women’s Med Center objections, before making a decision to definitely revoke this abortionist’s license.
There is no time limit for Director Wymyslo’s decision, but we are hoping for soon and will keep you informed of any progress learned.
We are closer than we have ever been to having this facility closed! We will all keep praying and working for this good result!
* The Women’s Med Center center is an Ambulatory Surgical Facility, and must have a transfer agreement with an area hospital to cover patient emergencies. This abortion facility has been unable to obtain a transfer agreement from any area hospital, thus it can apply for a variance (exception) but is currently operating without either.
