Prayer at Two Sites in Progress
September 30, 2013 – The fall 40 Days for Life prayer campaign is in progress through November 3rd. Participants are needed throughout the campaign to join with others praying for an end to abortion.
Vigils are now in progress at Planned Parenthood’s abortion headquarters on Auburn Ave., Cincinnati, and the Women’s Med Center abortion mill in Sharonville.
From Cincinnati campaign director, Mary Clark:
Our fall campaign got off to a good start with the kickoff rally last Tuesday evening. Rev. Chuck Hickey, Trinity Presbyterian Church, led us in prayer and scripture, while Laura Strietmann, Associate Director of Pregnancy Center East, spoke of her conversation with Shawn Carney, Campaign Director of 40 Days for Life and his encouragement to continue to publicly pray because abortion centers are closing.
Friday Bishop Joseph Binzer encouraged us all at our first Friday night vigil, with prayer and pastoral reminder of our role to extend the mercy of Our Lord to all.
Wednesday we had a record total of forty-two vigil participants!
Thursday a young woman stopped to ask where she could get pro-life signs to hold in her home city of Brookville, Indiana. Her husband had pressured into an abortion at Cincinnati Planned Parenthood two years ago. She had with her a beautiful eleven-month-old daughter. This woman had gone inside Planned Parenthood to request her medical records and ultrasound photo, but was asked to leave because her child was not allowed in the building!
Later that day a young man approached us for help, because he didn’t want his girlfriend to have an abortion. She was to be coming soon for a “consultation.” We gave him information on area pregnancy care centers, for which he was grateful. As far as we know, his girlfriend has not kept the appointment. Please pray for God’s love to surround all involved in these situations.
There are still hours of prayer open. All are welcome for Friday evening vigils at 7 pm.Mary Clark, Campaign Director Cincinnati 40 Days for Life ten.esufnull@syad04ycnic facebook.com/40DaysForLifeCincinnati
From Sharonville campaign director, Mary Jo Suer
Shawn Carney, Campaign Director for 40 Days for life sent an email a couple of days ago which said they were all set to announce the list of cities taking part in the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign when it was found that Planned Parenthood shut down another abortion center! See excerpts below.
Faithful volunteers in Midland, Texas were ready to start their FIFTH 40 Days for Life vigil outside that facility … but their prayers have been answered. The abortion center CLOSED! Plans were also in the works for a SEVENTH campaign in Toledo, Ohio. But there, too, God responded to the prayers of His faithful. The abortion center CLOSED!
In Bryan/College Station, Texas – the place where 40 Days for Life started, volunteers were ready to begin their fourteenth 40 Days for Life vigil outside the local Planned Parenthood facility. God answered years of consistent prayers. The abortion center CLOSED!
This has now happened 40 TIMES. These latest closures bring the number of closed abortion facilities — where 40 Days for Life prayer vigils have been held — to 40.
Thank you for your continued support of God’s children!Mary Jo Suer, Campaign Director
