June 20, 2013 – The Ohio House and Senate have removed Medicaid Expansion from the proposed Ohio Budget, now under review in conference committee. Thank You for your help communicating with legislators!
But now Governor Kasich is now trying to pass Medicaid expansion as a separate bill.
Rep. Barbara Sears has introduced H.B. 176 in the House Finance Committee – an attempt to disguise Medicaid expansion as reform.
- Leading abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, receives Medicaid funding for so-called “family planning” measures. According to Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s most recent annual report, taxpayer funding, including Medicaid, accounted for 42.5% of its total annual budget-handing this abortion giant $538.5 million.
- Medicaid expansion guarantees a steady stream of revenue to help keep Planned Parenthood in business. (Planned Parenthood affiliates in several states are also under investigation for Medicaid fraud.)
